Beautiful pictures.

Will it be just as hot and humid on this side of the mountains?

Hi Graham,
Sounds like you're having fun. Did you need any special visa to get into Guatamala or is a Canadian passport good enough? Did you have to take anti-malarial pills for this trip?

Very hot, and very humid!

No special visa needed for any of these countries, with a Canadian passport. Border crossings are ridiculously easy (compared to what I´m used to). I´m very careful about getting the right entrance/exit stamps, but really its not much different than crossing from Canada to the United States.

I´m taking anti-malarials, but not all travellers here have to. Because I´m cycling, traversing very diverse environments, and staying in, at times, questionably-clean lodgings, I´m at a higher risk factor for insect bites than most travellers would be.
